MAKING IT
Natalie Sharp
Actress & Singer

Originally from Montreal, Canada - Actress and singer Natalie Sharp made the move to Los Angeles in order to earn a degree in Musical Theatre from Loyola Marymount University and to continue to pursue her passion for both acting and singing.
Natalie has been a performer since before she can remember. After watching The Lizzie McGuire Movie, young Sharp, with stars in her eyes, grabbed the attention of her mother and said, “Mom I wanna do that.”
It was then that her mother enrolled her in singing lessons, which gave her the confidence she needed to pursue this interest further. Natalie explained how prior to these lessons she had been known as “the shy girl,” the girl that would start crying when her singing instructor would hand her a mic. She laughed as she reflected on this memory saying, “now… I will sing anywhere!” Singing lessons turned into musical theatre, which is the point at which she was truly hit by the “acting bug” and would never turn back. From there, Natalie began doing endless plays, musicals, acting competitions and then began film work and auditioning for commercials and TV shows. Once she turned 18, she began booking commercials and roles in shows like Supernatural, Untold Stories of the ER, Rings of Saturn and more.
Beyond learning about her background, sitting down with Natalie I was able to gather first-hand stories of her experience coming to Los Angeles for the first time all the way from Canada. Similar to Kerri, I was able to gather from the start that this girl was no phony. She lived and breathed passion as she shared with me stories from her experiences, both in Los Angeles and Canada and how they compare, she shared the struggles she faced as well as advice to those curious about any similar artistic pursuit. The energy in the room was inevitable as I began asking her questions about what she loved most about the arts. She glowed as she began telling me how fortunate she felt to have the opportunity to learn and meet friends in a similar pursuit. She spoke about her love for the arts and how she found joy in performing, solely because of the fact that it brought happiness to other people’s lives.
